3 players is already a mess on a keyboard. PS/2 keyboards supports a maximum of 7 keys pressed at once (Not all combinations), while a USB keyboard only supports 6.
Even with 3 players it's a problem, since if two players are pressing a few keys, then the 3rd player may be blocked out.
I might add support for X360 controller, joystick and Wiimote for RF3, though.
